Niambi Aprili Ingram is a filmmaker, writer, director, producer, and entrepreneur based in Birmingham, Alabama and Los Angeles, California. Her name — Swahili for 'Melody' — set the tone for a life built around rhythm, craft, and story.

With more than 27 years in entertainment and over a decade in business banking, Niambi works at the rare intersection of creativity and commerce. As a filmmaker, her work has screened at the Essence and Sidewalk Film Festivals, earned a Best Audience Award at the LA 48 Hour Film Festival, and reached millions of viewers through her writing and directing collaborations.

As a founder, she leads a growing family of brands: She Is Candles, Birmingham's original vegan organic candle company; Eye Candle Experience, bringing mobile candle- and perfume-making workshops to corporate teams, healthcare communities, and celebrations; She Is Productions, her film and digital media company; and emerging concepts Luminé Bar and Mind & Mood. Her client list includes Jordan Brand, Bank of America, Art Basel, and BeyGOOD.

Niambi's roots run deep in Birmingham's Civil Rights history, and that legacy shapes everything she creates — stories and experiences that honor where we've been while imagining where we're going. She holds a B.A. in Speech Communications from Tennessee State University, a B.S. in Cybersecurity Program Management, and a Master's in Strategic Communications.

When she's not on set or building a business, you'll find her playing classical cello, gaming, or adding to her travel map — 49 states and 13 countries and counting.
